HONESDALE, Pa., Sept. 15, 2016 -- Lewis J. Critelli, President and Chief Executive Officer of Norwood Financial Corp (Nasdaq:NWFL) and its subsidiary Wayne Bank, today announced that the Board of Directors declared a $.31 per share cash dividend payable November 1, 2016 to shareholders of record as of October 14, 2016. The $.31 per share equals the per share dividend declared in the prior quarter and the same period of last year.
Mr. Critelli commented, “The Board is extremely pleased to provide our shareholders with this quarterly dividend. It reflects the Company’s financial strength and strong capital position, which has contributed to a solid performance while operating in a very challenging economic environment.”
Norwood Financial Corp, through its subsidiary, Wayne Bank, operates fifteen offices in Northeastern Pennsylvania and twelve offices in Delaware and Sullivan Counties, New York. The New York offices represent locations that were assumed through the acquisition of Delaware Bancshares, Inc. and its wholly-owned subsidiary, NBDC Bank, which closed on July 31, 2016. As of June 30, 2016, Norwood had total assets of $767.8 million, loans outstanding of $581.2 million, total deposits of $584.3 million and total capital of $104.6 million, while Delaware had total assets of $378.3 million, loans outstanding of $112.4 million, total deposits of $327.5 million and shareholders’ equity of $24.1 million. The Company’s stock is traded on the Nasdaq Global Market under the symbol “NWFL”.
